Datalogging 101
The backbone of Chiptuning's R&D
What is datalogging and why do I need it ?
Lesson Highlights
Datalogging plays a significant role in Chiptuning, yet it is frequently overlooked. Nevertheless, it holds a critical position in the Research and Development process. These numerical records enable tuners to observe the internal workings of the Electronic Control Unit. Simply flashing a car and anticipating improvements, or relying on subjective perceptions without leveraging the data from datalogs, is not as effective.
In our courses, we delve into various subjects, including:
- What is datalogging and why is it useful
- What should I datalog and why
- How can I make a good log and how can I see the difference with a bad one
- What do all these numbers mean
